Your initial assessment will involve your clinician asking you questions about your issue, about any pain or other symptoms, and how this is affecting your life and activity. They will then do a physical assessment, which will involve examining the specific as well as the surrounding area, to establish the source of the issue, and what else may be influencing factors. This may require the need to see the joints and tissue, so please dress appropriately so that you are comfortable with this. The clinician will discuss their findings, carry out treatment, as well as provide you with a tailored exercise program. We will work with you then, to create a treatment plan that works best for you.

If required, we can use our extensive network to refer you for any further scans or opinions.

All our Physiotherapists are registered with, and regulated by the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), as well as the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapists). So you can be safe in the knowledge that you're in the best hands.

Shockwave therapy has been used within healthcare for several decades, with a significant amount of research and evidence showing that it is not only effective, but in some cases superior to injections and surgery. Its use results in reduced pain, improved movement and function, as well as tissue healing and reorganisation.

It is used to treat tendon issues throughout the body such as hips, feet and shoulders. And is effective for conditions such as achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis and tennis elbow, to name a few.

There are several different types of pilates, which use a range of equipment, as well as differing aims and styles – At Bridge Physio, we focus on reformer based pilates. This utilises the ‘reformer’, a machine which incorporates springs for resistance, as well as a moving carriage with straps, to challenge control, coordination and balance. We also utilise pilates rings, resistance bands, and dumbbells, amongst other equipment to challenge you further. We teach reformer pilates on a 1:1 basis, so you received unrivaled attention.

At Bridge Physio, a running assessment isn’t just for those with injuries and pain. Using slow motion video analysis, and state of the art equipment such as the Vald ForceDecks, we can build on your hard work to improve your performance and reduce your injury risk. All whilst watching those PB times tumble down.

We’ll analyse all the data to provide you with a clear, easy to understand summary, as well as a plan to address areas to improve.

We will find the root cause of issues, address the imbalances or weaknesses so you can be back on the road ASAP. You can still exercise whilst rehabilitating some injuries, and we can advise on managing these, so you can keep progressing and improving.

There is a common misconception that sports massage is for athletes. However, this is far from the truth! Everyone can benefit from sports massage, especially those who have a busy or sedentary lifestyle, and don’t have the capacity to exercise or play sports as they would ideally like.

Massage aims to restore how our body moves - relaxing tissue, allowing muscle and fascia to move as it should, increasing bloodflow, promoting healing, as well as causing mental relaxation.

Our expert massage therapists are well-experienced and qualified to address a range of different aches, pains and injuries. Using a combination of sports massage, deep tissue massage, remedial massage and Swedish massage techniques, we’ll have you feeling as good as new in no time.

“Paddy's been putting me back together for the last few years. He's exceptionally knowledgable and is probably the only physio I've been to who seems to have an answer for everything... He's careful in his assessment and doesn't jump to conclusions just to give you an answer; his thorough approach is why I keep going back.”
